Personalization Factors

Your Food Time Machine predictions are tailored to your unique health profile:

Metabolic State

Non-Diabetic: Uses baseline healthy glucose curves

Prediabetic: Applies 1.4x adjustment factor for realistic predictions

Type 2 Diabetic: Uses 2.2x adjustment for appropriate clinical context

Custom Fasting Glucose: Auto-detects your metabolic state from your actual fasting glucose reading

Insulin Sensitivity

QUICKI Method: Uses your own calculated insulin sensitivity index

Custom QUICKI: Enter your measured fasting insulin and glucose levels

Clinical Data: Integrates HbA1C and other metabolic markers if available

Activity Level

Sedentary: Standard prediction model

Light Activity: -10% glucose response adjustment

Moderate Activity: -20% glucose response adjustment

Intense Exercise: -30% glucose response adjustment

Meal Timing

Recent Meal (Less than 2 hours): Increased baseline glucose

Standard Fast (3-4 hours): Normal predictions

Extended Fast (6+ hours): Lower baseline, sharper peak

Frequently Asked Questions

How accurate are the predictions? +
Our model shows ~85% accuracy and sometimes even 90%+ accuracy when insulin sensitivity numbers are provided, compared to actual CGM data. However, individual variation is significant—factors like stress, sleep, microbiome, and genetics affect your personal response by 10-30%.
Can I use this for insulin dosing decisions? +
ClearLi is built primarily with India's health-focused individuals and prediabetics in mind. Type 2 diabetics can use it as a robust marker for quality of life and to see energy dips. However, for precise insulin dosages where you need 100% accuracy, you should refer to a CGM or prick monitor. We're planning to integrate CGMs soon!
What if I don't know my insulin sensitivity? +
No problem! We provide population-based estimates based on your metabolic state. You can also calculate your QUICKI index using our QUICKI Calculator tool, which requires just fasting insulin and glucose levels from a blood test.
Why are my results different from a friend's for the same food? +
Great question! Your Food Time Machine is personalised to YOUR metabolic profile. Differences come from: diabetes status, insulin sensitivity, activity level, meal timing, and genetics. Two people can have very different glucose responses to the same food based on these factors.
Can I export or save my predictions? +
Currently, you can screenshot or take notes during the session. We're working on adding export functionality to save predictions as PDFs or images for sharing with healthcare providers.
Is the Food Time Machine available on mobile? +
Yes! The Food Time Machine is fully responsive and works great on mobile devices. The interface adapts to smaller screens while maintaining all functionality.
What if a food isn't in your database? +
We're constantly expanding our database - and if you have an active plan subscription, then you can request for whichever processed food or item that YOU want to be researched and added and well do it!
