Clearli is a health technology SaaS platform operated by ClearLi Health Technologies, India. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal and health information when you use the ClearLi mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service").

By using ClearLi, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

        Plain language summary: We collect only what we need to give you personalised glucose insights. We do not sell your health data. Ever.

Send meal reminders and health alerts (only if you enable notifications)
Improve the accuracy of our prediction algorithms (anonymised and aggregated only)
Respond to your support requests
Comply with applicable laws and regulations

        We do not: use your data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or use it to train commercial AI models without your explicit consent.

Data Sharing

We share your data only in the following limited circumstances:

Supabase (Database & Authentication): Your account and health data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure hosted in the EU. Supabase is SOC 2 Type II compliant.
Legal obligations: We may disclose data when required by law, court order, or government authority in India.
Business transfer: If ClearLi is acquired or merges, your data may transfer to the new entity under the same privacy protections.

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal or health data to any third party for commercial purposes.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Supabase servers with the following protections:

All data encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3)
Passwords are hashed (bcrypt) and never stored in plain text
Row-level security (RLS) policies ensure users can only access their own data
Authentication tokens expire and are rotated regularly
Regular automated backups

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time (see Your Rights section).

Health & Medical Data

ClearLi processes sensitive health data including glucose readings, dietary information, and metabolic data. We treat this with the highest standard of care.

        Important disclaimer: ClearLi is a wellness and informational tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions.
      

Health data is never shared with insurance companies, employers, or advertisers
Research use of health data is always anonymised and aggregated — your individual data is never identifiable
You can export all your health data at any time from your profile settings

Location Data

ClearLi may request access to your device location to provide contextual meal tracking (e.g., noting the restaurant or location of a meal). This is entirely optional.

Location access is only requested when you explicitly use location-based features
We use approximate location only — we do not track precise GPS coordinates continuously
Location data is never shared with third parties
You can revoke location permissions at any time in your device settings

Push Notifications

With your permission, ClearLi sends push notifications for:

Meal reminders you have configured
Glucose alert thresholds you have set
App updates and important service announcements

You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings or within the ClearLi app. We do not send marketing or promotional push notifications without your separate opt-in consent.

Your Rights

Under applicable Indian data protection law and global best practices, you have the right to:

Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information via your profile settings
Deletion: Request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data
Export: Download your health data in a portable format (CSV/JSON)
Withdrawal of consent: Revoke consent for optional data processing at any time
Objection: Object to any processing you believe is unlawful

Children's Privacy

We will never knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes we will:

Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
Send a notification via the app or email
For material changes, require your acknowledgement before continued use

Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
